SYNOPSIS
Pastor Craig Groeschel breaks down the reasons why we are facing the challenges in our life. It’s because it all begins in our minds, in our everyday thoughts. One of the quotes from his book is, “If you want to change your life, you have to change your thinking.”
We always need to be mindful of our thoughts if we want to move forward and do what God has called us to do.
In order for us to believe, to have faith, to trust, to love, to surrender, to submit, to obey, to receive, to pray, to acknowledge God, we have to be willing to change the way we think. This leads to the way we do, the way we act, the way we see others and God. Our thoughts are powerful and they are connected to every part of us. They are the driving force to our feelings and to our body but it all depends on what we are allowing to filter through that will pour into our hearts.
MY THOUGHTS
This book helped me to understand the way I think. It helped me to breakdown and disect my thoughts to be truthful and to help me to get better at not breaking myself down and to know that I’m not perfect. It also taught me to change my thought patterns and what I think, to not become overwhelmed with pressures and problems that come.
Now, I make sure to give everything to God. I don’t try to hold onto anything and try to figure it out myself. I leave it to God. He also reminds me when I’m not leaving a situation to Him and I appreciate that because reveals to me my behavior and what I normally do when I become anxious. This helps me to stop, breathe to calm down and think about what Holy Spirit is saying to me.
