Collection: Favor Ain’t Fair

The concept of "Favor Ain’t Fair" originated from a conversation my aunt's friend had. She frequently mentioned it while discussing various topics with my aunt. Curious, I asked her to explain it to me. She said, "It's when blessings come your way, and someone admires your blessings while waiting for their own. But also being so intriqued that you want to get closer to that person to see what is truly special about them.”

It's essential to clarify that this perspective isn't rooted in jealousy. It involves observing someone else's blessings, celebrating them, and appreciating what God is doing in their life.

If you feel like your prayers are unanswered because they don't seem as significant as someone else's, remember that you are already blessed. This saying has stuck with me for years, and I've always wanted to embody it in my life.

"Favor Ain’t Fair" applies to all of us. While you may admire someone else's blessings, remember that others may be looking at you in the same light. Reflect on the goodness in your life and what God is doing because it could always be worse. Remind yourself, "Favor Ain’t Fair."

You are already favored by God. Remember Ephesians 3:20, "Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us."

God utilizes individuals, even those who do not have everything mapped out, whether they pursue Him with all their heart or reconnect with Him after a long time. You might not have a relationship with God, yet you witness occurrences in your life that leave you wondering how and by whom they were orchestrated. God selects whomever He pleases, whenever it suits His plans, to capture their attention or ours. Everything God does serves His purpose and magnifies His glory. So, the next time you or someone else uses this phrase, remember to smile, acknowledging that it is God's hand at work in their lives and in the lives of those around them.
